Healthy Relationships & Human Sexuality

An event every week that begins at 10:30 am on Saturday, repeating until August 10, 2019


Sexual feelings and needs are a healthy and normal part of life. The primary focus of this course will be self-advocacy in human relationships and sexuality. Sexual self-advocacy empowers people to have healthy romantic relationships, to make informed choices, to be safe, and to express their desires and needs.

Topics covered will include:

  • Sexual Orientation
  • Gender Identity
  • Changes in Puberty
  • HowOur Bodies Work
  • Caring for your Body
  • Healthy Body Image
  • Reproductive Safety
  • Consent

This course will provide resources and tools to make healthy sexual choices. Students will learn and use medically accurate, and age appropriate, correct terms that prepare them to talk about their body and their experiences. Lessons will consist of a variety of lectures, small group work and engaging activities to learn
complex material in a fun and memorable way.


The cost is $75 per 90-minute session. All Ability Wellness can receive payment directly from an approved 3 rd party payer (FI) for those who have self-directed services. Partial scholarships may be available based on financial need. Please contact Laura for additional information and scholarship application. Please fill out online registration form. This class will be limited to 10 students.


Laura H. Pace, MS, LMT is a Health Educator & Wellness Specialist . She is the owner of All Ability Wellness, LLC in East Setauket where she provides individual and small group Health and Wellness Education community classes. Laura has a Master’s of Science in Health Education, a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology, with a focus in Child Development, as has been a Licensed Massage
Therapist for over 23 years. Her primary focus is health promotion and wellness education to children, youth, adults with special needs and their families.

Melissa J. Andretta is a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She currently runs a Social Skills/Life Skills group for SASI, and works as a Clinical Director for an agency that provides home-based ABA to individuals with ASD. Melissa has worked in the field of Behavior Analysis and Autism on Long Island for the past 28 years.
